Family Acknowledgements
Shukrani za Familia
The Mbutu family extends profound gratitude to every person who has walked this difficult road with us — the clergy, the caregiver Mr. Nicholas Mureithi who tended to Baba through his long illness, the medical staff at the various hospitals, the Kinangop community, the planning committees in Nairobi and Kinangop, and every relative, friend, workmate, neighbour, and well-wisher who contributed in cash, in kind, in prayer, or simply by being present. Asanteni sana. Mungu awabariki.
“Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.”
“Wamebarikiwa wafu wafao katika Bwana tangu sasa. Naam, asema Roho, wapate kupumzika baada ya taabu zao; kwa kuwa matendo yao yafuatana nao.”
May the soul of Mwalimu James Ndumia Mbutu, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
Kwa heri, Baba — Pumzika kwa amani.
